Camp Descriptions
All about Color
This camp is all about color. Ms Mary will be introducing your child to color theory. Students will create their very own artist's color wheels, witness color mixing by marbling paper with shaving cream, and conduct color changing flower science experiments. Ms Mary always adds a bit of science to each camp to keep kids engaged and excited about all projects.
The Greats
This Camp introduces students to some of The Great Artists of our time and before our time. Campers will spend an entire day studying one artist learning about their style, life, medium and creating art work inspired by these artists. This summer we will be studying: Dr Seuss, Grant Wood, Andy Warhol, Picasso, and Yves Klein.
The Art of Science
Ms Mary is a Science based artist and this summer camp is her favorite to teach. Campers will challenge the relationship between science and art. Campers will conduct science experiments daily, we will also bring an art element into each experiment by drawing/painting what we see or creating functional art. Some projects students will be working on are: fidget bots (students will create robots that draw and move), create paint, grow crystals and so much more.
The Art of Engineering
We are all engineers and in this camp campers will be challenged to think, explore, discover and engage in hands-on STEAM based learning. Some projects we will be working on: Creating a kaleidoscope, building and designing a robotic hand and creating remote controlled drawing machines.
The Art of Architecture
The Art of architecture camp will challenge your campers to think about basic architectural design, theories, and concepts. Campers will stretch, design and build their own playgrounds, buildings and bridges. It’s always mind-blowing to what the campers create after learning the basics of architecture.
The Art of Upcycling
The Art of Upcycling camp will challenge your campers to use everyday materials to create unique and creative art projects. Campers will transform waste like paper, cardboard, plastics and rubber into art. This camp teaches you to turn nothing into something amazing.
